Liquid Cooled Heat Sinks

Using Fluid to Enhance Performance

Tran-Tec creates liquid cooled heat sinks for customer applications when an air cooled heat sink isn't sufficient. Also known as cold plates or chill plates, a typical cold plate consists of a flat plate - most often aluminum although other metals can be used - that has bottom channels milled into it. Tubing - often made of copper but sometimes other material - is embedded in those channels to carry the cooling fluid. Components can be mounted to both sides of the plate.

Possible configurations are unlimited. Tran-Tec will work with your engineering staff to help you realize your custom cold plates. Contact us to learn the possibilities.
